Anderson Equipment || Excellence in Design 2010

This 105 ton garage is where the rubber meets the road for one of the largest heavy equipment sales and service companies in the Northeast. A state-of-the-art maintenance facility was a must for this company that sells and maintains an enormous fleet of heavy equipment.

The 32,000 square foot project was a combination of a 14,000 square foot addition and a re-skinning and re-roof of the other 18,000 square feet. The 140 foot wide, 20,000 square foot main shop is equipped with a 10 ton and a 7.5 ton bridge crane running the width of the structure in (2) separate modules. When equipment from front end loaders and bull dozers, to backhoes and skid steers need a bath, they pull into the fully lined, 1,800 square foot wash bay. On the other end of the 30’ bay, they can get a new coat of paint in the state-of-the–art paint booth. The 28’3” eaves gives them the ceiling height required to fully service these monster machines with the cranes, paint booth and wash bay.

On the other end of the building, opposite the addition, was the existing building that was very dated and in tough shape. After we gave it a once over with Americans V-rib siding with a Warm White P70 finish, R-19 wall insulation and a Standing Seam 360 roof all to match the addition, the entire place looked like a brand new facility. Guardian’s R-19 Purlin Glide roof insulation system was used on the roof to provide fall protection from the outside and a great looking vapor barrier on the interior. As everyone knows, beauty isn’t skin deep- behind the new exterior panels you’ll find a 5,000 square foot parts area and 7,000 square feet of nicely appointed offices and customer service. This is truly a Monster garage!
